Bicycles offer a lifeline in rural Zambia

Bicycles offer a lifeline in rural Zambia

World Bicycle Relief does great work in Zambia, the country where Lisa and I spent two years as Peace Corps volunteers. Zambians with bikes have more independence, work options and (obviously) mobility. Give a Zambian a bike and they will ride it to Malawi or Zimbabwe if they think there is work or if the spirit moves them. This story mentions Chongwe where Lisa and I spent nine weeks training to be Peace Corps volunteers back in early 2008.
