On my way to work today I passed a Chinese feller of about 50 holding a baby up to his shoulder. He was singing to the kiddo. And smiling. About 20 steps behind singing man and baby was a Chinese woman who seemed to be the man's wife and the baby's grandmother. Watching from a distance.
I felt blessed to observe this bit of human-ness that is completely lost when everyone everywhere takes the car for all of their trips. (Correction: 99%+ of all trips in the USA are made by motorized vehicle not 100%. Apologies.)
