From the NYTimes: Is a bike an engine-less car or a pedestrian on wheels?

Personally, I am going to take the travel lane if I need to and act like a car in the streets. Acting logically and predictably is how I have survived being a bicyclist for the last 20+ years. I really don't care whether there is a bike lane or not but I understand why some (especially new) riders might want them. -tre
